Hold up

I just saw the ‘top searches’ in my blog, and these are what’s in it:

Top Searches
“blindfolded, jeremy renner kiss, hulk puny god, the moment when tony stark want to eat shawarma at the avengers”

Okay, so that’s a little funny line-up we’ve got there..

– Blindfolded
What? Ha ha ha. Do you mean my birthday post where I was blindfolded with my underwear? Other than that, I have no idea what you’re looking for. 😀

– Jeremy Renner kiss
I have no idea what kiss you’re referring to. Maybe the part where he kissed.. me? Lol, I have high hopes. But I have no content whatsoever about J. Renner kissing anyone on my blog.

– Hulk puny god
Yes, I agree that this scene is a very awesome scene. Lol. If you’re looking for the complete quote, here it is. 😀

– The moment when Tony Stark want to eat shawarma at the Avengers
Okay, being a grammar nazi, it’s wants, not want. 😉 Lol. Other than that, this made me laugh. Ha ha ha. It’s funny ’cause it’s a whole sentence rather than keywords.

I have wonderful, funny people on my blog! To my 16 followers – thank you for thinking my blog is interesting enough! To people viewing my blog (I know you’re there, I didn’t reach 900 hits in less than 2 months for nothing) hit that cute little “Follow” button up there. Look at it, it’s a sexy button. Click it click it click it. 😀

Meet the awesome me! Lol

The post title may be a little conceited, but that’s what this post is about: Me!

To be more precise, I updated my ‘About Me’ page. Give it a look! It’s quite long but it’s worth a read, I promise. No too-conceited stuff! 🙂

Here it is:

Meanwhile, here’s a picture of me with sore eyes:

Lauro is my boyfriend’s surname, by the way.

5 days ’til our Palawan trip!!! Can’t wait. ❤

In the end, test scores and grades are not the only factor.

My prelims grade isn’t exactly ecstasy-inducing. I got a 70 (that’s like getting a D) in one of my major subjects and in our case, that’s not a passing grade. I was really trying my best to catch up and pull my grades up so I was getting really nervous to see my final grade.

I was exuberant to learn that I passed the freaking subject!

Okay, so a 3 (a C) is not a good grade but it’s still a passing grade! I prayed to God over and over to give me a 3 instead of a 5 (which is a failing grade, thus you have to repeat the subject in the next semester)

But in another subject, it’s safe to say that this grade is one that I am actually proud of. I worked my ass off for this major subject (and it’s one of the hard ones!). Every single one of my classmates are taking this subject seriously and I’m not going to be left behind. Tour Guiding is not one to be taken lightly. We don’t have written exams, we have practical ones. For our finals, we were to take a professional tour guide on a tour of our own around Manila. Each one of us is assigned a segment (or one specific place. For example: Roxas Blvd), which we will only know on the day itself (actually only minutes before). Imagine memorizing different facts and trivia about 50 places because you’ll never know what place you’re going to be assigned. I know. Torture huh?

After sleepless nights memorizing and different nerve attacks the whole time, I was blessed with this grade! Yes, hard work really does pay off.

A 1.5 (like getting an A-) is something I am proud of. It’s not the highest grade in my class but I am a hundred percent satisfied. Praise the Lord!

Yes, I am no longer a Dean’s Lister (since last semester) but seeing my average, I could still be on the running to become America’s Next Top Model a cum laude!

Soon to become a college junior!

Jack’s Loft

After that tiring shopping spree, my mom and I decided to dine at Jack’s Loft which was also connected to My Thai.

My gorgeous mom and I.

We were sooo hungry. I haven’t eaten a bite the whole day (and that was already 7 in the evening!) due to the fact that I woke up at 2 in the afternoon then went to the mall straight away. I wanted to order everything off the menu!

I was excited to share the Fishbowl Iced Tea with my mom! We were iced tea freaks and this “fishbowl” was cute!

We were losers because we weren’t able to finish the whole thing 😦

I was torn ordering between the Onion Rings and Jack’s Cheesy Fries! This was a good choice, though. The gravy was ah-may-zing! I had to order another batch because I just want to drink the whole thing.

My mom ordered a Shrimp Pad Thai from My Thai. Definitely yummy!

Philly Cheese Steak for me! My jaw ached from chewing though. The bread was kind of tough but the onions were delicious! I just love onions. 🙂

Will definitely be coming back 🙂

The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.

Hello everyone! It’s 2 o’clock in the morning (and the conversation’s definitely not boring – forgive my lame joke) and I’m officially 18 years old! With great power comes great responsibility. I think Spiderman really hit the bullseye with that quote.

Being legal entitles you to a lifetime membership entrance to various clubs and bars (you just need to flash your I.D.!), a certification in the form of a driver’s license that makes you a valid driver (without any adult present because you’re the adult now) and an authentic permission to work.

Yet with all those perks that comes with being 18, there comes downfalls. Or God’s way of saying, “I am your light.” Without challenges, we wouldn’t enjoy our blessings! Without pain, we wouldn’t know joy. Without hardships, we wouldn’t know rewards.

I won’t be having an extravagant party because I think that’s too materialistic of me. In my opinion, spending quality time with my loved ones are better than spending time at a party that I know my guests would find boring (at least for the program part) and where’s the quality time in that, anyway? I don’t consider debuts to be “personal” because it’s too large a crowd to handle and I wouldn’t be able to divide myself equally between each circle of friends.

So I opted for individual quality time between my best friends and my college friends. That way, I would get to spend equal time with them, and at the same time, have the time of my life! It’s like hitting two birds with one stone.

On the last day of the final exams, I treated my college barkada to Enchanted Kingdom, since we were the only ones we know of that haven’t been to E.K. together. I would tell you all about that part of my birthday celebration soon!

Then I asked my parents if we could go to an out-of-town trip to Palawan with my boyfriend and best friends. I have never been there, and we’re all dying to spend the summer together and too excited to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Puerto Princesa Underground River. We will all be heading there at the end of April!

Here’s me at midnight! Officially 18!

Hello, new experiences.

“A new experience can be extremely pleasurable, or extremely irritating, or somewhere in between, and you never know until you try it out.
 Lemony SnicketThe Blank Book

So I decided to start a blog! Coming from a long line of writers in my family, a blog is not new to me, nor is it a new experience (though the title of this post says otherwise). My mom has one, my father has one (I think), and my best friend also has one! I have a few failed attempts at creating (and not to mention maintaining) a blog ever since I was a child, but now that I’m turning 18 in a few days, I thought I could be responsible, and I would.

I was in the shower earlier today, and as what good use a shower is for but for making life-changing decisions? I was suddenly gripped by the idea to start my own blog! Permanently! Well, it was all thanks to my awesome shower.

Maintaining a blog, a real blog and not Tumblr, is one of the few pacts I made with myself this summer. You can get to know what else I vowed to do soon!
