Balinsasayaw Chicken Grill and Restaurant

For our first night in Palawan, we were craving for fresh seafood! After asking the hotel’s caretaker, we went to Balinsasayaw Chicken Grill, just a few minutes away from our hotel.

My initial reaction upon entering the restaurant was amazement. The ambiance was so romantic! The restaurant was a huge fairy-lighted garden with nipa huts that ranges from small (two people pax) and large (it can house about 8 people). Since we had a large company (we were 12 in all), we settled for a large table instead of the cute nipa huts.

With Cito and Gold!

Look at my baby brother looking all adorable! That shirt he was wearing was one of my favorites! The baseball was exactly on top of his biiiiig tummy (which I think was the point of the design)! ❤

Shakes all around! The names of the shakes were actually pretty funny. There was Macorn, which was a combination of mango and corn. It’s weird, but good!

Their specialty shake – Balinsasayaw Shake.

Bird’s Nest soup, or Nido Soup. The green and red pieces there were actually bell peppers, not carrots and chives.

Two big bilaos which consisted of heaven on banana leaves! Seafood galore!!! There’s lumpia, grilled chicken, and liempo for non-seafood eaters (like my dad. Boooo!) and grilled squid, crab, and shrimp for the seafood lovers (like everyone else on the planet). Seafood is, and always will be, my ultimate weakness. Dieting was long forgotten after this has been served!!

Fresh fruit for dessert! 🙂

The whole crew with big, happy tummies! 🙂

Jack’s Loft

After that tiring shopping spree, my mom and I decided to dine at Jack’s Loft which was also connected to My Thai.

My gorgeous mom and I.

We were sooo hungry. I haven’t eaten a bite the whole day (and that was already 7 in the evening!) due to the fact that I woke up at 2 in the afternoon then went to the mall straight away. I wanted to order everything off the menu!

I was excited to share the Fishbowl Iced Tea with my mom! We were iced tea freaks and this “fishbowl” was cute!

We were losers because we weren’t able to finish the whole thing 😦

I was torn ordering between the Onion Rings and Jack’s Cheesy Fries! This was a good choice, though. The gravy was ah-may-zing! I had to order another batch because I just want to drink the whole thing.

My mom ordered a Shrimp Pad Thai from My Thai. Definitely yummy!

Philly Cheese Steak for me! My jaw ached from chewing though. The bread was kind of tough but the onions were delicious! I just love onions. 🙂

Will definitely be coming back 🙂

Ciao!

Whoever said money can’t buy happiness simply didn’t know where to go shopping.

Shopping with my mother is fuuun! I was always reluctant to ask my mom to buy me stuff because I know we weren’t rich, just well-off. Except for books. Books are always special to us, and sometimes I wouldn’t hesitate picking one off a shelf and begging my mom to “please, please, please!” buy me the darn book whenever we hit the mall.

Clothes and accessories are a different story altogether. Whenever I need to go to a party (birthday or otherwise), or any event, I guess that’s the only time that I would ask my mom to take me shopping, especially this time in my life wherein a whole lot of my batchmates were having their debuts!

So when my mom treated me to a shopping spree, wow, it’s a spree indeed! Trekked off to Festival Mall when my mom clocked off work.

Found these at a mini bazaar in the mall (And I mean mini bazaar. There are, like, less than 10 stalls)

My mom and I bought shirts at Penshoppe! Hers was the ‘Born to Inspire’ shirt, which, in my opinion, is totally true. She inspires me to be the best I can be everyday. Mine is the v-neck shirt with sequined pocket. Pretty boring compared to hers but I love the detail!

Satin shorts at Bench. I just love the sequined waistband!

Pretty bow at the back!

A black sheer button-up top and tan satin shorts with scalloped details at Preppy!

A pair of floral t-strap sandals from Celine. Perfect for the beach! I can’t wait to try these at Palawan this summer. Gaaah

Coral lipstick from Etude House!
My mom said that I was always wearing pink and red lippies, so I decided to buy something orange-y for a change. (Oh and by the way, my horoscope at Candy Magazine said that a “scarlet lip stain” and “red items” are my favorites! Which is so true.)

Striped top with a Peter Pan collar and a feather necklace from Genevieve Gozum!
GG will never fail to be one of my favorite shops to visit. Their products are affordable yet classy, and they always update their stocks with the latest trends!

New sunnies from Hawaiian Sun (found in Robinson’s)
My mom told me to buy that because I’d look like a gasp celebrity!

New bikini from Sassa!

A pair of pink and floral beach shorts, lace cover-up, and cutie patootie orange bikini tote bag! Izzo cuuuuuute. All from Robinson’s Dept. Store!

Cute heart-printed skirt at Candie’s! It was also available in pink, but I think the blue matches more clothes in my closet, thus more practical. I love the bow in the waistband!

More photos (where we ate, etc.) soon!

Ciao!
