So today my boyfriend decided to join the WordPress community

I can’t believe he waited all this time to FINALLY put up a blog. He’s an amazing writer and so fluent in English, it doesn’t even sound awkward when he talks. I know, during my high school periods, talking in English may make you sound like a social climber and a desperate wanna-be, but with him, he actually makes it sound.. cool.

I know he’s a pathetic companion for a photo-op..

But in reality, he’s actually very sweet, incredibly funny as hell, and crazier than me. And that’s saying a lot, because my username wouldn’t be livelife”CAErazy” for nothing.

So be good followers and head on over to his WordPress guys! It would mean so much to the both of us. 🙂

One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.

Hello everyone! So I’ve failed to write for like, 5 days I think? Well, it’s because I’ve gone on vacay at Puerto Princesa, Palawan!

Palawan is actually one of the many summer destinations here in the Philippines. Tourism is at it’s highest in beaches and pools. Anywhere cooler, just because Manila is at it’s hottest weather! Who else here feels like they’re in a big oven and you just want to crawl inside your refrigerators? 😦

But don’t let it’s sands and waves get to you. Palawan is more than what meets the eye. Beaches and hotels are superficial. Subic, Boracay, and Batangas? They’re all the same. What we want to do is something new, something different. Anything NOT popular and superficial. You’ll soon get to see what we experienced in Palawan in the upcoming posts. 🙂

We got to airport at around 2 in the afternoon. Our flight was at 3:40 so we still have a lot of time to spare.

Me and my craaaazy friends! You already know Gold and Inna, and the one on the farthest right is Shae, who has been my friend for 13 years! When my parents asked who I want to bring on this trip, they were the first ones on my mind!

Sharing this experience with him made my vacation all the more fantastic! This trip is already looking up, just by the sight of him.

Meet my cousin, Meg! She’s my bestest friend ever!

The flight was delayed for an hour, and we had nothing to do to pass the time! 😦

Ha ha ha, look at Gold looking adorable!

When the flight pushed through, we were nothing but excited! You should be there when we scream, “Palawan, woooo!” People around us think we’re insane. Who knows? Maybe we are! 🙂

Once inside the plane! It was Shae’s first time.

It was also my baby brother’s first time! He’s so cute and quiet during the flight. 🙂

Just look at that sea! It’s soooo clear and blue, safe from pollution! Sigh. It’s like I’m nostalgic for places that I’ve never even seen. I want the old times back, back when we’re all neanderthals and there are no buildings!!! Ha ha. 😀

With my gorgeous mom. Touchdown: Palawan! It feels sooo good to breathe fresh air! ❤

Where we stayed for 3 days! Sotera’s Mansion!

Check out their Facebook page here.

The living room and kitchen.

Huge bedroom!

 More next time!

We’re not a team. We’re a time-bomb!

I just got home from a movie date with my boyfriend!  I hope you’re all prepared for a bombard of The Avengers-related posts!!! So if you haven’t watched the movie, don’t worry. This post has no spoilers, I promise you!

So my boyfriend and I agreed on a “race” wherein the last one to arrive at the cinemas would get to treat the other ice cream. Cito, being the lazy asswipe he is, was the loser of our little game! Ha! In your face! 😛 ❤

So while waiting, I decided to treat myself to some Okinawa Basic Milk Tea from Infinitea. Since they don’t have egg pudding, I opted for no add-ons. Ugh, I hate pearls. Notice my shirt. *wink wink* (See post here)

When he arrived, we bought our tickets for the next show time! I called the cinemas beforehand and asked if a lot of people are going to be watching. Thankfully, the clerk told me that only a few were there. So we were lucky to get really decent seats!

First off, I apologize for the lousy shot. We were already in the cinemas when I forgot that we hadn’t taken any food shots! *face palm* This family-sized nacho salad is from our favorite movie-snack restaurant, Southern Flavors. Their quesadillas ARE TO DIE FOR. Trust me on this one!! ❤

After the movie, I felt fat after eating those nachos (and some of his french fries) so we opted for something healthy for dessert! Californiaberry nonfat frozen yogurt was definitely the way to go. Crushed grahams and fruit all the way!

Non-relevant: We saw this amazing book at Powerbooks while strolling around the mall! It’s the classic story of Pride and Prejudice – zombified! Being a total dork, I am definitely buying this the next time we hit the mall. Hilarious! 😀

I asked him to buy me cotton candy instead of ice cream. I adore the Barbie sticker! ❤

I am sooooo glad I have a wonderful boyfriend to share life’s sweet blessings with! He instantly turned gay the moment the movie started!! ❤

You do something to me that I can’t explain. <3

Spending a day with my boyfriend is really something to look forward to, and it never fails to make me smile and giddy with excitement! I don’t know why or how, but we’ve been together for more than two years and he’s still the only one that makes my heart flutter! As cheesy as that sounds, I’m being honest. Ha ha! 😀

We haven’t seen each other for a week, and I’m already missing him! You might think that I’m overly clingy or overreacting, but I actually can stand not seeing him for a month, even though I don’t want to. There’s a difference! C’mon, is it really a sin to miss somebody? 🙂

So today he surprised me by swinging by our house today! He gave me Red Velvet Cupcakes! Kill me, I forgot to take a picture. There goes my diet. 😦

Suddenly craving for milk tea, we decided to go to Moonleaf at Paseo de Sta. Rosa. 🙂

Hi baby! I’m sorry for always “cropping” you from the photos! I’m a lousy self-portrait photographer! 😦

The drink that never fails to make my taste buds happy! Hakka Milk Tea with Egg Pudding. I LIVE AND BREATHE EGG PUDDING!! ❤

Him and his Tiramisu Milk Tea with Egg Pudding. He says it reminds him of “hospitals”. He liked my Hakka more. I mean, who wouldn’t! 🙂

Every Moonleaf shop has thousands of post-it notes. Also, cute shelf! I want a shelf like that at my room. (Sorry for the glass. I’m seated outside the shop) 😦

His dimples make me swoon! Note: he’s not fully showing it in this picture.

Ciao!

Here is the place where I love you

Okay, so let me just tell you how much I love The Hunger Games.

When I was at the wee age of 16, whenever we come into a bookstore, I would grab a copy of the book and silently read in one corner. Every. Single. Time. That was just the time when getting my parents to buy me books would be considered a huge crime because I wasn’t that big of a reader yet. I had no idea what the book is about, but I always find myself holding it in my hands, reading anything readable (What? Lol) on the covers. The books are always sealed so I couldn’t read even a chapter. I don’t remember what I usually did on the internet back then, (I must be pretty boring) but I never had the thought to just darn research about it and get it off my system, but noooo. I just HAD to wonder, don’t I?

Fast forward to a year later.
When I hit college, I was a commuter. I had to commute for a minimum of two hours from Laguna to España every single day. In my first semester, there was no direct bus to Lawton, which was only a jeepney away from UST. So I would ride the LRT from Gil Puyat station to Bambang station wherein I would ride a tricycle to UST after. The LRT would pass by SM Manila and I could see the billboards and ads on the side. I was shocked, one day, because the third and final book in the trilogy was right before my eyes. I was more determined than ever to buy the series.

Buying the whole set was kind of the spark that ignited the fuel I have for reading books. Since then, I started buying books from left to right! Because of that, I actually succeeded in my Goodreads 100 Book Challenge for 2011! 🙂

I wouldn’t tell you or force you to read this book. This book is the kind wherein you have to do it willingly or otherwise, you wouldn’t get the story and the underlying morals it voices out. Look past the love triangle, never compare it to Twilight or Harry Potter, and remove any Battle Royale prejudices from your head. Because The Hunger Games is more than just a love triangle, pretty boys and violence. It speaks about politics, the government and the brutality that people can do to fellow humans.

Last March 21, 2012 was a glorious day for me. I waited for almost 2 years for this movie to come out, that I didn’t even think of it disappointing me. I mentally conditioned myself to just be glad that the movie was out, and don’t even think about the how the book was better (even though it really was. All the time).

I’m very lucky to have a boyfriend and best friends who are readers! Every book I read, my boyfriend reads as well. We’re cool like that, yeah? 🙂

So we watched the movie 2 days prior to the US release date at SM City Calamba. It was during finals week and I went back to Manila the day after!

Yay for shirts! I got the ideas for the design at DeviantART and we went to Transfer It to make it. For people who wants to get t-shirts done, I don’t recommend Transfer It because the stickers peel off after a few days.
